  • Brunswick Laboratories Misrepresentation
  • It has come to our attention that there are websites hosted by some of our Associates that misrepresent the relationship between MXI Corp™ and Brunswick Laboratories. Brunswick Laboratories is an independent testing company, they test our products for ORAC, Flavonoids, Catechin, and Epicatechin, and they certify those test results on our product packaging. However, as an independent testing company they do not endorse, promote, or recommend the products of any company for whom they perform tests. This would be a conflict of interest. If you have any reference to Brunswick Laboratories on your website, please make sure that it only states that Brunswick Laboratories test the MXI Corp™ products for ORAC, Flavonoids, Catechin, and Epicatechin, and certify those test results on our product packaging. We greatly appreciate your immediate compliance with this request. Failure to correct to any misrepresentations constitutes a violation of the MXI Corp™ Rules & Regulations, and will be dealt with accordingly.

  • Can I get artwork or photos that are higher quality than what is currently provided on the downloads section?
  • Yes. By signing the Artwork Release form from your Back Office Library and faxing it to head office (775.971.9976) along with any service providers (ie. printers, web designers, etc.), you will receive a link to download Distributor-Only files including product shots, logos, etc. seen in much of the MXI Corp™ materials. You must provide an email address in order to receive the download link. There are some images that will be kept strictly for MXI Corp™ itself, but much of the artwork is there for use to produce original art.

  • I signed the Artwork Release form, and downloaded the Media Kit a long time ago. Can I get updated artwork or do I have to do the process over again?
  • No, all you need to do is request the artwork again, but indicate that you have previously downloaded it and would like the newest version of the Media Kit.

  • I saw a wonderful design/photograph on "--insert place/site here--"! Could I get that file from you?
  • This is a common question. Because there are so many distributors in the network and so many Xoçai™-related websites/promotionals cropping up every day, custom designs and custom photos are everywhere. MXI Corp™, has direct control over www.mxicorp.com and www.Xoçai.com, so if you do not see the particular image(s)/promotionals anywhere on these two URLs, we cannot provide it to you.

  • I've been told I can work with your graphics department to create custom promotional materials. Is that true?
  • Yes, we will try to work with you to create most custom artwork. Due to volume, there may be a 5 - 10 business day delay in your completed design. Be aware that these designs will be the property of MXI Corp™, and if applicable, will be posted in the downloads section for others to download and use, or made available for purchase as an accessory item. Email your request with full description of proposed idea.

  • I saw a website or piece of literature that claims Xoçai™ can cure "--insert ailment or disease--". Where can I get more information about these cures/benefits for my promotional material?
  • There are studies currently being done on Xoçai™, however, until those studies are completed, MXI Corp™ and it's Distributors cannot make health claims about any of it's products. For clarification and use of the benefits of Dark Chocolate, email corporate office for more information or refer to Dr. Steven Warren's website, www.mydrchocolate.com. Please report any questionable promotional materials to MXI Corp™. If you have a health-related testimonial, please post it on Dr. Steven Warren's website, www.mydrchocolate.com.

  • I want to view your video clips; how can I view them?
  • The video clips on the MXI Corp™ website and on the "Meeting-in-a-Box" use Apple Quicktime 7.0 or later as well as Microsoft Windows Media Player .wmv files.

    Windows Users
You will by default be able to play the .wmv files. You will need to download Apple Quicktime. The application is free, though you may be prompted to purchase the "pro" version if you open the application itself, however you can ignore the prompt and continue on without purchase. Be patient, Quicktime is a fairly large download.
    Apple/Mac Users
You will by default be able to play Quicktime files. You will need to download the Windows Media Player.

  • I have Quicktime, but when I click to view the movie clips, I just get a big blue "Q" (Quicktime logo). Why won't it work?
  • If you see the Quicktime logo, you have Quicktime installed. The reason you are seeing the "Q" is because your computer is downloading the movie and must download a certain portion of the movie before it starts to play (AKA "Buffering"). How long the "Q" appears on your screen is dependant on your internet speed/clip download speed. Once it downloads enough of the movie for the play head to stay behind the download bar, it will begin to play and the "Q" will be replaced by the movie clip. Basically, you have to wait for your computer to download enough of the movie.

In some cases, the browser does not understand that the Quicktime movie should start to play after the buffer is complete, so you may experience a long wait time where the full movie downloads before it starts and the "Q" disappears.

  • XoBiotic Squares™ - Is there Milk?
  • We’ve received a lot of questions about milk as an ingredient in our XoBiotic Squares™. When MXI Corp™ originally received the descending order of ingredients for the XoBiotic Squares™, provided by our manufacturer, it listed milk as an ingredient. However, as MXI Corp™ was preparing the XoBiotic Squares™ for international product registrations, we had to provide the percentage of each ingredient in the XoBiotic Squares™ per our manufacturer’s declarations. These manufacturer’s declarations, based upon finished goods, came back with no milk present in the XoBiotic Squares™. MXI Corp™ inquired as to why originally their descending order of ingredients listed milk. Our manufacturer’s response was that XoBiotic Squares™ were produced on equipment that is also used to manufacture milk chocolate products, therefore, we should list milk on our packaging. Had MXI Corp™ been made aware of this manufacturing disclaimer, as we were preparing the label and box for the XoBiotic Squares™, we would have omitted milk from the descending order of ingredients and added the following “Allergy Info” statement to the XoBiotic Squares™ label, “Contains soy. May contain milk, peanuts, tree nuts, and/or wheat.

Dark chocolate may contain milk protein. When we produce our next order of labels and boxes, they will will contain this “Allergy Info” statement and milk will not be in the descending order of ingredients. We apologize for the confusion, but we are happy to report that milk is not an ingredient in the XoBiotic Squares™.

  • Why is the Brunswick Labs ORAC Certification seal not on my Nugget Box but it is on all other Xoçai™ products?
  • The Nuggets were launched before we started putting the ORAC seal on our products. We have now entered the Nuggets in the certification program and the seal will appear on the boxes the next time we produce boxes.

  • Are any of the products gluten-free?
  • The Nuggets, The X Power Squares™, XoBiotic Squares™, and the Omega Squares™ are considered gluten-free because there is no ingredient that contains gluten. The remaining products do contain wheat (gluten). The solid chocolate products are, however, produced on the same machines as other products that contain gluten. These machines are cleaned thoroughly after each production, but we legally need to include the allergy warning because of this.

  • Does Xoçai™ contain oxalates?
  • Yes, oxalic acid and oxalates are abundantly present in many foods, including cocoa and chocolate.

  • Is Xoçai™ certified organic?
  • No, our chocolate is considered "All Natural" rather than "Organic." Organic ingredients are grown in an environment with controlled variables and many of our ingredients are taken directly from their natural environment.

  • Do any of the Xoçai™ products contain fructose-enriched corn syrup or "High Fructose Corn Syrup?"
  • We do not use fructose-enriched corn syrup or High Fructose Corn Syrup in our products. We use 100% "Pure Crystalline Fructose" (or natural fruit sugar).

See the complete Wikipedia explanation of Fructose. (Please note this link contains disputes that have even been posted on Wikipedia under health effects that are not accurate because they are confusing Fructose with HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup).
Crystalline fructose and high-fructose corn syrup are often mistakenly confused as the same product. The former is simply pure (100%) fructose. The latter is composed of nearly equal amounts of fructose and glucose. Crystalline fructose is held to offer many unique benefits such as improved product texture, taste and stability. Specifically, when combined with other sweeteners and starches, crystalline fructose is said to boost cake height (in baked goods) and mouth-feel of foods and beverages and to produce a pleasing brown surface color and pleasant aroma when baking.[1]

Fructose is often recommended for, and consumed by, people with diabetes mellitus or hyperglycemia, because it does not raise blood glucose or insulin concentrations since it is metabolized without the need of insulin.

  • Why does it say the products may contain milk or milk protein? I thought your products do not contain milk?
  • The solid chocolate lines may contain milk because they are manufactured on the same equipment that processes other products that do contain milk. The equipment is sanitized after every production run, however the "may contain milk" statement must legally be present on the label.

The Omega Squares™ do contain a minute amount of milk as part of the Omega-3 powder; therefore, the allergy warning is present, and are considered Vegetarian only.

The Activ™ Beverage and the Protein Bars contain milk because one of the natural flavors in the flavor system is derived from cream; therefore, the Activ™ have the allergy warning, and are considered Vegetarian only. Protein Bars are neither vegan, nor vegetarian.

  • Soy protein; why do we use it?
  • Soy is the protein source found in the protein bar. Excellent source of protein. See article 1 and article 2 for further details on Soy.

There is no Soy Protein added to any other product. The allergen statement shows “May Contain” or “Contains” Soy because SOY is one of the 6 major allergens determined by the FDA and USDA in the 2006 Allergen Label Law that took effect January 1, 2006. Soy is a common ingredient used in the manufacturing process of lecithin and there may be very small amounts used even in a flavoring system. The allergen statement is required for protection of children and adults suffering from severe allergies and should not be considered part of the ingredient declaration. There is no SOY added unnecessarily. This holds true for “Milk” as well. A disclosure is needed because some of our ingredients may contain trace amounts of cream extracts or other milk derivatives.

  • Is fish collagen in the Xoçai™ Protein Bars?
  • Yes, fish collagen is extremely good for healthy nails, hair, skin, bones, etc. Our source of fish collagen is from a deep sea bass, and it is 98% protein, obviously a great source of protein. In fact, there are companies that their entire focus is the health benefits of incorporating fish collagen in the diet. They also mentioned that fish collagen has been used for decades as an alternative treatment for arthritis and osteoporosis.

  • Why do we use hydrolyzed fish collagen?
  • It is used because it’s a good source of healthy protein that works well in the formula.

  • I don't know why you don't make a smaller bottle for the powder! It seems like such a waste of space!
  • The reason the bottle is the size and shape it is, is because it not only stores the powder for shipping, it is what holds the final product. You must ADD WATER TO THE BOTTLE (amounts are labeled on the bottle mixing directions), and use the bottle to shake and store the product! You do not need to remove the product and find a container to add the powder and the water together as you would making hot chocolate or other mixers!

  • How are your products processed?
  • The processing varies by product. The Activ™ is the least processed product.  It is all-natural; and the cocoa powder is non-alkalized, non-lecithinized, and cold-pressed to remove about 75% of the fat content.  It is the lowest per serving in fat, carbohydrate content, and calories. The Nuggets also contain non-alkalized, non-lecithinized, and cold pressed cocoa powder in the chocolate.  However, the Nuggets contain more fat and sugar (even though the sugar is all-natural). The Omega Squares™ are made from the same chocolate as the Nuggets; however, we add 200 mg of Omega-3 from a vegetable source. The Protein Bars are made from the same cocoa powder that is used in the Activ™ product, but we include 10 grams of protein to make the product suitable for a meal replacement.

  • Does Xoçai™ contain caffeine?
  • Typically, chocolate companies have added caffeine to their chocolate, it does not occur naturally in chocolate. However, one of chocolate’s active ingredients is theobromine, which occurs only in cacao. The two stimulants are related and have similar structures, but are very different chemicals with different properties, effects and origins. Below is a table which compares and contrasts theobromine and caffeine.

  • Theobromine Caffeine

  • Will heat damage the ORAC value of the Xoçai™ Products?
  • The ORAC value of the Nuggets survives temperatures in excess of 60 degrees Celsius in the molding process. So, there's no way that even a temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit could reduce the ORAC value. And, everyone has to remember that the taste of Activ™ can change from batch to batch because the berry powders can change in taste from production to production.

  • Some chocolate from different countries have been found to contain heavy metals. Does MXI test for or can they assure the purity of their chocolate?
  • Yes, the chocolate is tested for all metals. And, the only metal that tests high is iron, and that’s good.

  • Are MXI products Kosher?
  • The solid chocolate products are all BCK or British Columbia (Canada) Kosher.

  • Shipping
  • Why isn’t summer shipping completely across all US states?
  • This is due to temperatures that vary by state. Product will be shipped ground until warmer weather arrives.

  • My product came 2nd Day Air with ice and has melted.
  • If you will not be home or you live in an extremely warm climate, please choose a business location rather then a home as UPS can deliver a package as late as 8pm depending on the driver’s discretion and route.

  • Why does it take so long to get my product from Xoçai™ when I order?
  • We ship from Reno, Nevada. To the East Coast it can take up to 8-10 business days. We are exploring options for an East Coast distribution center in the future that will assist with this. Until then we encourage business builders to upgrade to the Executive Option so they have product on hand to get their new associates started right by handing them their product and having it replaced when theirs arrives.

  • Why am I only receiving half of my product?
  • From May 15 until Sept 15, all solid chocolate products are shipped 2nd Day Air. Other products are shipped separately via ground. (We should put a note on the packing slip indicating this)

  • I am sending back product. What is the procedure?
  • If you are sending back product, you must follow these steps:
  • 1) Call customer service for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). PLEASE NOTE, product older than 60 days from date of purchase WILL NOT be refunded. Product must be still sealed and shrink wrap intact, or seal intact. If damaged, opened, half-eaten, repackaged, melted, "activated," etc., save some shipping and do not send it back as you will not receive a refund on that product. DO NOT SEND powdered drink back under any condition if you have added water to it!
  • 2) When authorized to return your product, please mark on outside package with a black marker "RMA" or the warehouse may reject your package.
  • 3) When packing for a return, remember that MXI Corp™ will not issue a refund on product that is not fit for resale. This includes, but is not limited to, damaged products due to packing/shipping issues, so pack carefully and securely. Use bubble wrap, crumpled newspaper, or foam. If you are in a hot/warm climate, solid chocolate products must be packed with additional ice/gel packs to prevent melting.
  • 4) Please be advised if you reject a shipment and it returns to MXI Corp™ in damaged condition, it will not be refunded. MXI Corp™ reserves the right to refuse/reject any product it deems not fit for resale. See the Policies and Procedures for more in-depth return policies, available in your Back Office Library.
